EXTENDED PROGRESS OF THE AESTHETICS OF FAILURE

AGAIN ... WORDS WILL PASS THROUGH OUR BODIES, ABOVE OUR HEADS (Irigary)

The exhibition is a mixture of a video installation, along with drawings and sketches made in a collaboration with Julia Björnberg and Ellen Suneson. The exhibition space is maped out with words, sketches and drawings —as well as video loops— questioning the “normative” structure of power within the cultural sphere. With clip art and personal diary notes, the main theme of the work touch upon feminist utopia and gender equality within the art world, diagnosing for instance the frames of their artistic work.

"Again...Words will.."

PROGRESS OF THE AESTHETICS OF FAILURE

Extended actions on Failure

In collaboration with others within fields of art, representation and queer theory, settings for discussion such as organizing seminars and shows have been seeked out, staged and tried, closely planned in collaboration with Ellen Suneson (PhD student in the Division of Art History and Visual Studies, Lunds university), Julia Björnberg (curator, Ystads konstmuseum).

Reaching out and staging platforms for discussion such as seminars and shows both within the art context, but also into contexts were knowledge and practice are in assemblage, as in collaboration with universities, pedagogical framings of art and scenes for art as activism targets the context as part of conveying layers of meaning within practice of failure and reinforcse contexts for comprehending the incomprehensible.
